Free consultations are for people starting a brand-new case. In-process case reviews require Attorney Leiva to study existing filings, identify errors, and build a strategy around work that's already been done — that level of analysis takes significantly more time and expertise.
What happens after the paid consultation?
You'll leave with a clear assessment of your case's strengths and weaknesses, a recommended course of action, and — if you choose to retain Leiva Law — a roadmap and fee agreement for the work ahead. There's no obligation to hire us after the consultation.
How quickly can you respond to an RFE?
RFE deadlines are taken very seriously. Once retained, Attorney Leiva prioritizes evidence gathering and response drafting to submit well before your deadline. The sooner you call, the more time we have to build the strongest possible response.
Can you take over my case from another attorney?
Yes. Attorney substitution is a standard process. We'll file the appropriate notices with USCIS, obtain your complete file from prior counsel, and conduct a full review before determining next steps. Many of our clients come to us after working with another firm.
